Summer Day Camp

Finish Strong  is entering our 15th year of providing safe and enriching sports programming for young athletes! Each of our directors have over a decade of camp leadership experience.  All directors are First-Aid, CPR and AED certified by the American Red Cross.  We are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive and fun environment for every camper!  Finish Strong will maintain one staff member for every five campers.

Finish Strong Sports Camp welcomes incoming 1st-7th grade boys for an exciting summer of sports, fun and friendships! Camp age groups are based on the grade your son will be entering in the 2025-2026 school year; for example, if he is currently in kindergarten, please register him for 1st grade.

To ensure that every camper receives the personal attention they need to thrive, each age group will have a maximum of 32 campers.

This allows us to create a supportive environment where your child can grow, learn, make strong connections and have an unforgettable camp experience!

At Finish Strong, we proudly offer the best sports campus on the North Shore! Located at 620 Greenwood Avenue in Glencoe, Central School provides families involved in our year-round programs the convenience of being just a short walk or a quick ride away from camp—no more long, hot bus rides!

Our outdoor amenities feature Berlin Park’s baseball diamonds, soccer and football fields, four tennis courts, an outdoor basketball court, and a fun recreation area with ping-pong tables and cornhole. Plus, our indoor facilities boast two spacious, air-conditioned gymnasiums & cafeteria! Get ready for an amazing summer filled with activities and excitement!

Finish Strong Sports Camp will run 8 total weeks, 6/16 - 8/7.

Camp is divided into four 2-week sessions. For planning purposes, Sessions may not be divided any other way than what is listed below. Families may register for 2, 4, 6 or all 8 week weeks.  Below are the themes of each session.

• Session I, Weeks 1 & 2: All-Star Showdown
• Session II, Weeks 3 & 4: Tribal Takeover
• Session III, Weeks 5 & 6:  NCAA July Madness
• Session IV, Weeks 7 & 8: Color War - Red vs. Blue!

7th graders can now register for Session III & IV!

Each age group is capped at 32 campers per session. Once this limit is reached, that age group will close for that session. We’ve set this maximum to ensure that every camper receives the personal attention and care they deserve, creating a more enriching and enjoyable experience for everyone!

Important Scheduling Notes

• No camp Friday, 7/4.
• Camp dismissal at 1PM on Friday, 7/11.
• Final day of camp is Thursday, 8/7.  Dismissal at 1PM.

Tuition Costs

Daily Lunch + Express Bus Service is included! $380 Savings for 4 Weeks & $760 Saving for 8 Weeks!

• Any 1 Session, 2 weeks = $1,495
• Any 2 Sessions, 4 weeks = $2,395
• Any 3 Sessions, 6 weeks = $3,495
• All 4 Sessions, 8 weeks = $4,295

FREE Express stops will be conveniently located for families at the following locations:

• Highwood Recreation Center
• Holy Cross in Deerfield
• Northbrook, Wilmette & Lincolnshire stops coming soon!
• We will happily add more FREE express stops.  Contact Coach Ed if you have a central location for a group of 10+ Campers.

Door-to-Door Transportation Costs

• $250 per session (2 weeks)

Camp is divided into themed 2-week sessions.  What is packed into each session?

• Campers will be placed on two different league teams, where they will compete versus friends (new and old!) in a variety of different traditional and adapted sports.
• Campers will play: flag-fooball, soccer, newcomb, handball, floor hockey, basketball dodgeball + MORE.
• Each week will include 1 water based field trip + 1 optional field trip!
• Campers end the week with a Finish Strong Friday!  This is a completely separate theme from the session and an opportunity for everyone to play fun games, spend more time with friends and earn prizes for being a good dude!

Snack Cost - INCLUDED!

• Fresh fruit will be sliced and provided every morning and afternoon!  Not to mention we like to end each day with a frozen treat as well . . .

Lunch Cost - INCLUDED!

• Daily hot lunch options are included in tuition!  Campers will have 2 hot lunch options each day.  Bagels and fresh fruit will also be available for any camper to eat.
• We are excited to announce our A-list of of local lunch providers!  Nothing but the best for our Campers & Staff!  The weekly menu and ingredients will also be included.
• There will be no peanut or tree nuts in our food offerings.  Camp will not allow any outside foods containing peanuts or tree nuts.  Any product containing nuts will be removed by staff for the overall health and safety of our camp community.
• Lunch to be eaten inside Central School cafeteria.

Transportation Costs

• Express Service = INCLUDED THIS SUMMER!
  Express bus stops are centrally located group stops.  There may be between 1-3 stops on an express bus.
• Door-to-Door Cost = $250 per session (2 weeks)

At Finish Strong, we know campers love sports, but they also want to beat the summer heat! What’s summer without exciting trips and time in the pool? Campers can enjoy two field trips each week: one optional water trip and a fun outing with their age group. That means some weeks, campers might hit the pool or beach twice!

We’ll send out a field trip calendar before camp begins, but here are some camper favorites: Dave & Busters, Nickel City, Chicago Dogs/Cubs/Sox games, Wheeling Water Park, Flick Park, Lake Forest Beach, Glencoe Beach, Hidden Creek Aqua Park, Skokie Water Playground, Vernon Hills Aquatic Center, and Great Wolf Lodge.

Field Trip Schedule

• 1st-3rd Grades: Tuesday (Optional) / Thursday
• 4th-7th Grades: Monday (Optional) / Wednesday

OPTIONAL Field Trips will be water-based.  Families must complete an online form by 6PM the day before to indicate whether their son wishes to participate in the optional water-based trip.  Campers who do not wish to participate will have a variety of skill-building activities & games to play @ Camp.

Please note that pools will have height restrictions for slides and require swim tests for diving boards. If you have any questions about your camper’s swim level or our water trips, feel free to reach out to Coach Ed directly!

There’s nothing quite like spending summer with your closest friends, but we also know that camp is the perfect place to make new ones! Our camp focuses not only on teaching sports skills, but also life skills - fostering friendships and respect amongst fellow campers are among the top. Values like sportsmanship and camaraderie are also at the heart of every activity throughout the day.

While we don’t accept specific friend requests, families are welcome to list up to 5 friends their camper would like to be on a team with. Rest assured, we’ll take care of the rest to help create a fun and supportive camp environment for everyone!

Rain or shine, our summer sports camp is ready to keep the excitement going!
